Mike joined our team in 2015 and has been an invaluable member since. In addition to being on the Board of Directors and our Treasurer, Mike leads the Special Request Program. He manages the budget for this program. He also manages the outreach supply tracking database, which tracks all items distributed to each homeless friend that places an order.

Most of what Mike assists with is on the backside and most volunteers do not see him. However, we honor him and are very thankful for his gift of talents.

Carl began volunteering monthly in late 2015 with Shiloh Church from Flower Mound. In 2019, Carl began attending Tuesday night outreaches weekly and has been a vital part of our team since. Carl assisted Jayson, Heather and Anabela during Covid (March to Sept. 2020) multiple times a week, through camp deliveries. Since we could not gather groups, we delivered to hundreds of homeless friends – right to their doorstep (aka – their campsites).

In addition, Carl joined our Board of Directors in 2023. And he helps oversee the organization of our clothing donations at our warehouse. He is a jack of all trades and assists with most all outreach and ministry needs.

Christie joined our team in early 2021 and became an avid volunteer immediately. She fell in love with those we serve and hasn't looked back. She selflessly gives 20+ hours a week to this outreach ministry. 

In 2022 she began assisting Heather Dixon with housing and outreach case management. Christie has a background in social work and is a huge asset leading our case management outreach team. 

In 2023 she joined our Board of Directors as our Secretary.

In addition, Christie is truly a ray of sunshine. She loves to serve our friends with grace, empathy and kindness. She leads with joy and laughter. She, like others on our team, will go out of her way to show a friend that they matter to her.

Jayson has been with LLM since its birth and has been Heather's right hand in all areas faithfully all these years. Anyone who knows Jayson is blessed! There is not enough space on this page to document all tasks he helps with. Simply put, if there is a need to be met, he will jump in to meet it. 

Happily, and willingly! 

There will never be another Jayson, and we are beyond grateful that him!!

Heather met him in 2008 and they became friends. Together they served at a local homeless church. Then dabbled in other outreaches. Then when Heather felt called to begin this street team, he said, “I’m in!” and there has been no turning back since.

Outreach Special Request Packing Team

This husband-and-wife team leads our SR outreach packing at the warehouse. They have been packing orders weekly since mid-2018 and very rarely need a week off.  They shop for all of the needed items and then pack between 500 to 900 items depending on how many homeless friends ordered from us that week.

Food Pantry Directors

and Outreach Shopping Team

This husband-and-wife team joined our team in early 2022 and leads our food packing at the warehouse.  They oversee all that is needed and done in our food pantry. This consists of packing boxes of food for our weekly home deliveries, packing food boxes for our Monday camp deliveries, and sorting weekly food donations from Winco, corporate and private donors. 

In addition, they have become our weekly shopping team and pickup all needed food or supply needs. 

And last but definitely not least, they have been blessing us with meeting donors at the office/warehouse when other team members cannot.

They are active in our community in other ways. Simply put, they are givers and they have such joy in serving as well. We are very grateful for all they do behind the scenes!

Brett began volunteering monthly in late 2015 with Shiloh Church from Flower Mound. And in 2019, Brett began attending outreach weekly. He has led an array of teams, such as the van supply line, the new homeless friend list, our food serving line, and helps train new volunteers. 

For years, he has graciously supplied fresh fruit weekly to over 300 homeless friends. 

He also serves on the Board of Directors.

In addition, beginning in 2022, Brett and his wife, Kim, come to the office one week a month to pack for outreach.  And any time he isn’t working, and we are moving someone in, he assists with that as well.  He also networks for us finding furniture and household goods based on our needs. Like many of our core team volunteers, he loves to serve those the Lord puts before us and aids us in whatever he can around his work and family schedule.
